By
accepting a place at the School, parents and children automatically agree to
abide by the rules and regulations contained in other sections of this hand
book. Parents and children are also expected to enter into the spirit of
the following contracts of behaviour and conduct summarised below.
Similarly, we would expect the same respect to be shown by all staff at the
School towards children and parents. This is regarded as an important part
of School life and one that we can all emphasise and refer to constantly.
1.2.1 Pupils Charter

as an individual and have the right to take pride in themselves for being
different -Fulfil their potential without being hindered by others

culture or disabilities -To be kind and considerate to others and to make
new members of the School welcome. -To always do their work to the best of
their ability -To show respect for other peoples property and
possessions -To respect School property, buildings and surroundings
1.2.2 Pupil Behaviour and
Conduct Code The following code has been developed to enable
the smooth running of the School. If all pupils follow it, more time can be
spent on important matters in the classroom - teaching and learning.
1. Always be in the place that you are supposed to be.
Moving around the School unsupervised is not allowed especially during break
times. 2. Make sure that you look smart at all times. Ensure that
shirts and ties are tucked in, top buttons done up and ties knotted correctly.
Parents pay a lot for School uniform and it must be treated with respect.
3. Always behave correctly in classrooms. Wait quietly for the class to
start and do not talk unless requested to do so. When told to sit down, do so
in silence. Listen to the teacher or anyone else addressing the class. Always
work quietly and attentively. 4. Always address adults correctly. All
adults are to be addressed as Mr, Mrs or Miss at all times. Answering back in
an unacceptable manner is regarded as being serious misconduct regardless of
circumstances. 5. Always move around the School with the minimum of
noise. 6. Stand up and be silent if an adult enters the room.
7. Make sure that you record homework in your diary. If no homework is set
write None Set. 8. Use play times properly. Games played
during break time must be appropriate and you must consider the safety of
others at all times. Break times are also the correct time to use toilets.
9. Meal times are to be spent in silence. Pupils must not move around the
dining area until directed to do so. 10. Be on my best behaviour at
all times including the journey to and from School and during any School visit
or function. It is important for the well being and
reputation of the School that these guidelines be followed. Pupils
have a right to expect that their co-operation will be acknowledged and
rewarded in an appropriate manner. Any pupil who breaks the spirit of the code
must expect to be reprimanded by any member of staff or where necessary also a
senior member of staff. Sanctions will include being kept in during break
times to do extra work, lines or detention. Persistent misbehaviour will
follow the procedures in the Sanctions and Rewards section in the
School Regulations section 1.1 1.2.3
